The Kings Academy Jacob Webb Jr. recovering after back surgery

As initially reported by Florida Lacrosse News, The Kings Academy 2021 defenseman Jacob Webb Jr. had back surgery on June 10 at St Mary's Hospital to partially remove a tumor in his spine. Jacob was experiencing pain in his neck and sought medical attention when he began to feel numbness in his fingers, an MRI revealed the tumor and forced him into immediate surgery which lasted 6 hours. Test results on the portion of the mass that was removed is expected within a month. Jacob is currently working through physical therapy multiple times a day in the hospital and has been making daily progress in his recovery. Webb Jr. is committed to play D1 lacrosse at the University of Albany, and had his spirits lifted earlier this week after speaking to Head Coach Scott Marr, who really has motivated him to continue to work hard in therapy every day. Watch this heartwarming Tik Tok video which will show you just how much Jacob's spirits have been lifted this week:

As is often the case in situations like this, the lacrosse community has rallied around the Webb family and they are truly feeling all of the support, love and prayers from everyone.
