Welcome to the Spring 2021 NCAA Commitment Roundup powered by Project X Lacrosse where we are pleased to report 26 Deep South varsity lacrosse players have committed to play sports other than lacrosse in college with 20 of them set to join football programs, 4 will be playing basketball, while the final 2 will be wrestling and swimming. Please note, our area of coverage in the Deep South consists of the 9 states east/northeast of Texas (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN).
Florida led all states this spring in placing 10 commits to other sports, followed by South Carolina with 4, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee tied with 3, and Alabama, Arkansas and Louisiana with 1 each. The following is the list of the players from the Deep South who committed to college programs in the month of April:

Bobby Crouch - 2021 Midfielder at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida committed to further his education and play college basketball at Babson College in Massachusetts (this commitment happened in October 2020).
Eli Federman - 2021 Midfielder at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tennessee committed to further his education and play college basketball at Depauw University in Indiana.
Jacob Rose - 2021 Midfielder/Attackman at Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida committed to further his education and play college basketball with '21 brother Spencer at Trevecca Nazarene University in Tennessee.
Spencer Rose - 2021 Midfielder at Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida committed to further his education and play college basketball with '21 brother Jacob at Trevecca Nazarene University in Tennessee.

Riley Caines - 2021 Midfielder at River Ridge High School in Woodstock, Georgia committed to further his education and play college football at Aurora University in Illinois.
Hayden Clem - 2021 Defenseman at Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Florida committed to further his education and play college football at the University of Florida in Florida.
Ashton Daniels - 2022 Midfielder at Buford High School in Buford, Georgia committed to further his education and play college football at Stanford University in California.
Samuel Dec - 2022 Defenseman at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida committed to further his education, serve our country and play college football at the United States Military Academy at West Point in New York.
Sammy Edwards - 2021 Midfielder at St. Augustine High School in Saint Augustine, Florida (North Florida Stars/Ohana Lacrosse Company) committed to further his education and play college football at Valdosta State University in Georgia.
Mack Gresham - 2021 SSDM at Wando High School in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina committed to further his education and play college football at the University of South Florida.
Zak Herbstreit - 2021 Defenseman at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee committed to further his education and play college football at The Ohio State University in Ohio.
Chad Hollar - 2021 LSM/SSDM/Midfielder at Hoggard High School in Wilmington, North Carolina committed to further his education and play college football at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in New York.

Kade Wehby - 2021 Defenseman at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida committed to further his education and play D1 college football at the University of Alabama in Alabama.

Mitchell Gillem - 2021 Midfielder/Attackman at Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana committed to serve our country and swim at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado.

Nick Cambria - 2021 SSDM at Buford High School in Buford, Georgia committed to further his education and wrestle at Davidson College in North Carolina (this commitment happened in November 2020).
