Southeast Fall Showcase All-Star Games Recap

Saturday’s action at the Southeast Fall Showcase was capped off by two All-Star Games, the first showing off the best of the classes of 2024 and 2025 while the second featured the 2026's and 2027's.

Brody Bessette of Holly Springs High School (Team 91 South/Team 91 Carolina) got the action started for Team Black with a nice rip from just outside the crease. He made an impact early and often on Saturday, drawing all sorts of attention from every defense he faced, while still finding the back of the net which earned him a spot in the All-Star Game.

However, it was Brady Knutson of Team 91 Charlotte, Team 91 South, and Myers Park High School who really turned it up for Team Black. His vision and awareness were on display as he picked off a clearance attempt and then found a teammate for an easy goal. Then he finished off a highlight-worthy play as Connor Hinson attacked the defense in transition before dishing it off to an open, trailing Knutson whose momentum help him beat the goalie with a stinger on the run.

Despite the offensive onslaught on display by Team Black, White’s uncommited goalie Noah Wood out of Christ School (Team 91 Charlotte Blue) kept his team in it with some really spectacular saves throughout the game, including one on the aforementioned Brady Knutson. He also closed out strong making two very nice saves, including one as the final buzzer sounded on the game.

The second All-Star Game featuring the ‘26 and ‘27 players also had a lot of high quality play. James White of Myers Park (Team 91 Charlotte) was constantly pestering Team Black’s defense and goalie, including cranking a shot that he completely stung upper right so hard that it looked like it might bust a hole through the net. Goalie Caleb Dymmel (Team 91 South/Team 91 Charlotte) would stone James White shortly thereafter. White looked like he had another sure goal off the back post, but Dymmel got over quickly to slam the door shut emphatically.

Team White’s Emmett Dresnek out of Charlotte Catholic High School (Team 91 South, Team 91 Charlotte) got in on the action as well, showcasing a wicked shot on one goal, then mixed it up with a bouncer on his second goal to keep his opponents guessing.
