Welcome to DSLR's NCAA monthly Commitment Roundup for September powered by USA Lax Commits where we are pleased to report a total of 68 high school boys from the Deep South have committed to play college lacrosse. This month's report includes 27 new recruits who will be joining NCAA D1 programs and 23 players from the class of 2023. We also report on 2 recruits out of the state of Florida who switched their commitments in September. Please note, our area of coverage in the Deep South consists of the 9 states east/northeast of Texas (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN).
Florida and Georgia had huge months leading the way with an astonishing 23 and 21 new commits respectively, followed by North Carolina with 13, South Carolina with 5, and Alabama and Tennessee with 3 each. Florida placed the most D1 commits with 14, followed by Georgia and North Carolina with 5, then 1 each from Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee. Florida also led the way in placing 2023 recruits with 11 for the month, followed by Georgia and North Carolina with 5, then Alabama with 2.
