September 1st marked the re-opening of the communication window with D1 schools and we are pleased to report that in the month of September a total of 62 high school boys from the Deep South verbally committed to play NCAA lacrosse, with 23 of them joining D1 programs. Please note, our area of coverage in the Deep South consists of the 9 states east of Texas (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN).
North Carolina had the most commits with 27, followed by Georgia with 17, Florida with 14, South Carolina with 2, and 1 each in Alabama and Tennessee. Florida had the most D1 commitments for the month with 9. The following is the list of the players from the Deep South who committed to college programs in the month of September:
