Welcome to DSLR's NCAA monthly Commitment Roundup for October powered by USA Lax Commits where we are pleased to report a total of 104 high school boys from the Deep South have committed to play college lacrosse. This month's report includes 20 new recruits who will be joining NCAA D1 programs and 16 players from the class of 2023. We also report on 5 recruits who switched their commitments in September and 1 guest player from Canada who committed D1. Please note, our area of coverage in the Deep South consists of the 9 states east/northeast of Texas (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN).
Georgia recorded an absolutely huge month placing an astonishing 36 new commits. They were followed by Florida and North Carolina with 25 each, South Carolina with 10, Tennessee with 5, Alabama with 2 and Louisiana with 1. Florida placed the most D1 commits with 8, followed by North Carolina with 6, Georgia with 5, and Alabama with 1. Florida also led the way in placing 2023 recruits with 7 for the month, followed by Georgia with 5 and North Carolina with 4.
