We are pleased to report that in the month of October a total of 55 high school boys from the Deep South verbally committed to play NCAA lacrosse, with 13 of them planning to join D1 programs. Please note, our area of coverage in the Deep South consists of the 9 states east/northeast of Texas (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN).
Florida and North Carolina tied for the most commits with 18 each, followed by Georgia with 10, Louisiana with 4, South Carolina with 3, and 2 in Tennessee. Florida had the most D1 commitments for the month with 6. The following is the list of the players from the Deep South who committed to college programs in the month of October:

Zachary Antoniou - 2021 Defenseman at H.B. Plant High School in Tampa (Sweetlax Florida/National) committed to play D1 lacrosse at Fairfield University (CT) in the Colonial Athletic Association. Antoniou also plays varsity football at Plant.
Anthony Borodiak - 2021 Midfielder at Saint Andrews School in Boca Raton committed to play DII lacrosse at the University of Tampa (FL) in the Sunshine State Conference. Anthony will join his brother Christian (Tampa '22) at Tampa in the fall of 2021.
Chris Caldwell - 2022 Defenseman/LSM at IMG Academy in Bradenton (Nation United, True Utah and 212 Lacrosse) committed to play D1 lacrosse at the University of Denver (CO) in the Big East Conference. Caldwell has a great stick and lacrosse IQ which enables him to push both ends of the field.
Antonio Dominguez - 2021 LSM at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale (FLX Crabs) committed to play DII lacrosse at Queens University of Charlotte (NC) in the South Atlantic Conference. "Nino" possesses excellent footwork which helps him land precise checks on his opponents.
Jake Gobel - 2021 Face-off Specialist at Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park (Always Sunny Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Rhodes College (TN) in the Southern Athletic Association.
Harrison Gottlieb - 2021 Midfielder at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale (FLX Crabs/Israel Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Ithaca College (NY) in the Liberty League. "Harry" moves very well with the ball and is a strong finisher when the opportunity is there.
Grant Kidwell - 2021 Defenseman at The Kings Academy in West Palm Beach/formerly at Martin County High School in Stuart (Palm Beach Revolution) committed to play DII lacrosse at Le Moyne College (NY) in the Northeast 10 Conference. Kidwell is an anchor on defense at TKA and is credited for being a leader to his teammates on and off the field.
Matthew Jarosz - 2021 Midfielder/LSM formerly at Winter Park High School in Winter Park (Piatelli Lacrosse) is now playing at Franklin High School in MA, and has committed to play NAIA lacrosse back in Florida at Keiser University in the Sun Conference. In 2018, Jarosz helped Winter Park reach the state semifinals.
Max LaTorre - 2022 LSM who recently played with Sweetlax Florida (Delbarton School in NJ) committed to play D1 lacrosse at Loyola University (MD) in the Patriot League.
Jake Marek - 2021 Goaltender at American Heritage School in Plantation (Florida Crabs, Florida Surge and Hardshells) committed to play D1 lacrosse at the Virginia Military Institute (VA) in the Southern Conference. Marek is a true student of the goaltender position and the game, and is appreciated for all he has done for his programs over the years.
Jack Reed - 2022 Midfielder at Ponte Vedra High School in Ponte Vedra (Sweetlax National) committed to play D1 lacrosse at the University of Vermont (VT) in the America East Conference. Reed is a two-way middie who can make plays on either end of the field.
Danny Richmond - 2021 Attackman, Midfielder and SSDM at Saint Edwards School in Vero Beach (Dukes LC) committed to play DII lacrosse at Florida Tech (FL) in the Sunshine State Conference. Just look at all those positions, obviously Danny is a versatile player.
Grant Rivera - 2021 Attack/Midfielder at Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando (Florida Crabs/Braveheart Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at The College of Wooster (OH) in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
Philip Scopano - 2021 Attackman at Gulf Coast High School in Naples (Wahoos Sweetlax) committed to play NAIA lacrosse at Webber International University (FL) in The Sun Conference.
Logan Shassian - 2021 Attackman at Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando (Always Sunny Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Christopher Newport University (VA) in the Capital Athletic Conference.
Nicholas Sidor - 2021 Face-off Specialist at Merritt Island High School in Merritt Island (North Florida Stars/Space Coast Stingrays) committed to play DII lacrosse at Wingate University (NC) in the South Atlantic Conference. Sidor has been playing lacrosse since he was 7 and is a very hard working athlete.
Quinn Smith - 2021 Goaltender at IMG Academy in Bradenton (True Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Steven's Institute of Technology (NJ) in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom. Quinn has size, speed and a true passion for the game.
Trey Taylor - 2022 Defenseman at the Taft School (CT)/formerly at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa (Sweetlax National) committed to serve our country at the United States Military Academy West Point and play D1 lacrosse for Army (NY) in the Patriot League. Trey will be following in his older brother's footsteps, as Bennett Taylor was a Class of '20 Defenseman at West Point.

Colin Honroth - 2021 Midfielder at Johns Creek High School in Johns Creek (Thunder LB3) committed to play D1 lacrosse at Towson University (MD) in the Colonial Athletic Association. Honroth is a fast, agile 2 way midfielder, who can score from multiple spots or find the open man.
Luke Kane - 2021 Attackman with Atlanta Kings and Project Missouri (Webster Groves High School in MO) committed to play DII lacrosse at Flagler College (FL) in the Peach Belt Conference.
Ethan Landry - 2022 Defenseman at Cambridge High School in Alpharetta (Thunder LB3) committed to play DI1 lacrosse at Merrimack College (MA) in the Northeast Conference. Landry is extremely fast and possesses a high lacrosse IQ.
Russell Overly - 2022 Defenseman at the Lovett School in Atlanta (FCA Maryland) committed to play D1 lacrosse at the University of Denver (CO) in the Big East Conference. Russell has been playing lacrosse since he was 10 with his twin brother William who recently committed to play D1 at the University of Utah.
K.J. Seymour - 2021 Goaltender at Woodstock High School in Woodstock (Atlanta Empire Lacrosse) committed to play NAIA lacrosse at Keiser University (FL) in The Sun Conference.
Michael Shephard - 2021 Attackman at Woodstock High School in Woodstock (Atlanta Kings/Atlanta Empire) committed to play NAIA lacrosse at Keiser University (FL) in The Sun Conference.
Seymour and Shephard both announced their commitment to Keiser on the same day which is appropriate as they have played together since the 3rd grade starting out in Cherokee Youth, then Cherokee Xtreme, Atlanta Lacrosse Club, and most recently, Atlanta Empire, Atlanta Kings and Woodstock High School.
Josh Turner - 2021 Midfielder at Lassiter High School in Marietta (Nation United/Thunder LB3) committed to play DII lacrosse at Palm Beach Atlantic University (FL) in the Sunshinie State Conference. Turner has been playing lacrosse for 6 years, and after playing JV as a freshman, the lefty cracked the varsity roster at Lassiter as a sophomore in 2019.

Chandler Bonvillian - 2021 LSM at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans (FTK For The Kids) committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at Lees-McRae College (NC). Hard work is Bonvillian's middle name and lacrosse is the passion that fuels his fire within.
Braxton Parchman - 2021 Attackman at Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport (FTK For The Kids) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Centenary College (LA) in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The lefty has a strong work ethic and leads by example which commands the respect of his teammates.
Aidan Story - 2021 Attackman with Shred Thread Lacrosse/True Colorado (Steamboat Springs High School in CO) committed to play DIII lacrosse at LaGrange College (GA) in the USA South Athletic Conference. The southpaw also plays varsity football and hockey, but has played his favorite sport lacrosse for 11 years now, and is thrilled that he will continue playing it in college.

Hough High School in Cornelius (Carolina Miners Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at Belmont Abbey College in NC (this commitment happened in September). Celeste is versatile and can help in multiple positions on the field.
Griffin Cooling - 2021 Attackman at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh (Bucktown Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at the University of Lynchburg (VA) in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. In 2019 Griffin became a starter at Cardinal Gibbons and helped them to win the State Championship with his brother Blake, who recently committed to Hofstra University.
Luke Crone - 2021 Midfielder at Lake Norman High School in Mooresville (Team 24/7 Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Aurora University (IL) in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. Crone also plays varsity football at Lake Norman.

Trip has been playing lacrosse for over a decade and is a team player that takes pride in representing his school through sport.
Casey Hurley - 2022 Midfielder at Cuthbertson High School in Waxhaw (Team 24/7 Lacrosse) committed to play D1 lacrosse at St. Johns University (NY) in the Big East Conference. Hurley became a starter in his freshman season and is looking forward to taking his talents to New York City.
Cameron Lenox - 2021 Attackman at Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte (Team Carolina Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse at Catawba College (NC) in the South Atlantic Conference. Lenox is best described as a low maintenance, blue-collar grinder who can also play Midfield. He has even stood between the pipes for his varsity team due to injury last year, making 14 saves in a win against a strong NW Guildford team in the final game of 2020 before COVID19 quarantine shut everyone down.

Pramik is a smart, skilled defender with a high lacrosse IQ, who is very effective scooping up ground balls and pushing it up the field in transition to create offense.
