We are pleased to report that in the month of November a total of 53 high school boys from the Deep South verbally committed to play NCAA lacrosse, with 7 of them planning to join D1 programs. Please note, our area of coverage in the Deep South consists of the 9 states east/northeast of Texas (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN).
Florida led all states with 17 commitments, followed by Georgia and North Carolina with 12 each, then South Carolina and Tennessee placing 5 each, and finally another tie with 1 commit from Arkansas and 1 from Louisiana. Georgia had the most D1 commitments for the month with 3, followed by 2 each in North Carolina and Tennessee. The following is the list of the players from the Deep South who committed to college programs in the month of November:
Caden McCarty - 2021 Midfielder, Defenseman and Face-Off Specialist at Bentonville High School in Bentonville (Roadrunner Lacrosse Club) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Hendrix College (AR) in the Southern Athletic Association. Caden is a tough, hard working competitor whose supporters are excited for the future chance to see him represent lacrosse in the State of Arkansas on the NCAA level.
Trey Bradford - 2021 LSM at Newsome High School in Lithia (True Lacrosse Florida Monsters) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Ohio Northern University (OH) in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Bradford was a JV basketball player before focusing on lacrosse which he picked up at 14 years old. His areas of strength are man on man defense and clearing.
Gabe Clark - 2021 Defenseman at Winter Park High School in Winter Park (Sweetlax Florida, Nation United, Always Sunny Lacrosse, True Florida) committed to play DII lacrosse at Le Moyne College (NY) in the Northeast 10 Conference. Le Moyne lands a strong 1 on 1 defender, who also plays LSM if needed. Clark has been playing lacrosse since 2nd grade giving him a strong knowledge of game situations.
Hunter Crowe - 2021 Midfielder at Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando (Always Sunny Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse at Anderson University (SC) in the South Atlantic Conference. Crowe is a 2 way middie who also plays Wide Receiver and Free Safety for Bishop Moore's varsity football team.
Brady Deschenes - 2021 LSM/Defenseman at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra (Phins Sweetlax/Villages Lacrosse Club) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Berry College (GA) in the Southern Athletic Association. Deschenes is a confident competitor and great teammate who follows the process.
Alex Dorenkott - 2021 Defenseman at Lake Mary High School in Lake Mary (Sweetlax Krakens/Lacrosse Club Orlando) committed to play DII lacrosse at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (AL) in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Dorenkott is a skilled defender with great game IQ.
Avi Israel - 2022 Face-off Specialist at Ponte Vedra High School in Ponte Vedra (Sweetlax Florida) committed to play DII lacrosse at the University of Tampa (FL) in the Sunshine State Conference. Avi was a member of the 2019 Ponte Vedra varsity team that won the State Championship.
Paul Johnson - 2021 Attackman at Newsome High School in Lithia (3D Gulf Coast) committed to play DII lacrosse at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (AL) in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. "PJ" has been playing lacrosse since he was 5, and is excited for the opportunity to complete his journey in Huntsville.
Hunter Leonard - 2021 Attackman/Midfielder at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra (Villages Lacrosse Club) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Berry College (GA) in the Southern Athletic Association. Leonard is a versatile athlete who looks forward to continue playing a sport he has loved since he was 8.
Connor Maron - 2021 Defenseman at American Heritage School in Plantation (Krakens Sweetlax) committed to play DIII lacrosse AND football at Trinity College (CT) in the New England Small College Athletic Conference. On the lacrosse field Maron is an aggressive defender who lays hard checks and always seems to grab up those loosies. Connor also plays Strong Safety on the varsity football team.
Jadon Morini - 2021 Attackman/Midfielder at East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs (3D Gulf Coast) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Piedmont College (GA) in the USA South Athletic Conference. Morini can be a threat to score when given time and space, and feeds teammates with nice touch on his passes. Jadon is also pesky on the ride hustling to force turnovers.
Liam Murphy - 2022 Goaltender at St. Edward's High School in Vero Beach (Dukes LC Elite) committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at Lees-McRae College (NC). This year Murphy was selected to the '21-'22 Under Armour All American team and the 2020 Treasure Coast All Conference team.
Jared Perez - 2021 Midfielder at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra (Phins Sweetlax) committed to play DIII lacrosse at LaGrange College (GA) in the USA South Athletic Conference (this commitment happened in August). Jared also played Running Back his senior season for the varsity football team at Nease.
Bradley Peterson - 2021 Goaltender at Montverde Academy in Montverde (Lacrosse Club Orlando/Florida Dorados Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse at Rollins College (FL) in the Sunshine State Conference. Peterson is passionate about lacrosse and chose to commute to Montverde in order to play since the local high schools in Tavares didn't offer the sport.
Ryan Roberts - 2021 Attackman/Midfielder at Winter Park High School in Winter Park (Sweetlax Krakens/Always Sunny Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Franklin & Marshall College (PA) in the Centennial Conference. Roberts is an energetic lefty who can sting it from the outside or drive underneath to finish inside.
Jerome Salerno - 2021 LSM/Defenseman at East Ridge High School in Clermont (Florida Dorados Lacrosse) committed to play NAIA lacrosse at Keiser University (FL) in the Sun Conference. Salerno is also a member of the Varsity Golf team at East Ridge.
Ryan Toohey - 2021 LSM /Defenseman at Wellington High School in Wellington (Creator's Game/Palm Beach Revolution) committed to play NAIA lacrosse at Keiser University (FL) in the Sun Conference (this commitment happened in August). Toohey is a right handed pole who is tenacious on ball.
David Young - 2021 Attackman at IMG Academy in Bradenton (True Lacrosse Florida, True Lacrosse Maryland, Warrior Diamond, Trilogy, Legends Team Eighteen) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Clarkson University (NY) in the Liberty League. The righty dominant Young stands 6 foot 3 inches 200 pounds and he likes to use that size to play on the crease and shoot.

Will Adams - 2021 Attackman at Saint Andrews School in Boca Raton changed his commitment to play lacrosse from Amherst College to Bentley University (MA) in the Northeast 10 Conference. Will has also played Free Safety and Wide Receiver for the Saint Andrews varsity football team.
Charlie Ciardullo - 2022 Face-off Specialist at Cambridge High School in Alpharetta (Thunder LB3) committed to play D1 lacrosse at the University of Denver (CO) in the Big East Conference. Ciardullo was a varsity football player until he picked up a stick going into freshman season and gave up football to pursue lacrosse exclusively as a sophomore. He is very excited to be led by the staff in Denver upon his graduation.
Edward Downey - 2021 Attackman at George Walton Academy in Monroe (Georgia Tigers Elite) committed to play DII lacrosse at Lynn University (FL) in the Sunshine State Conference. Downey has played box lacrosse for the Atlanta Revolution in the USBOXLA Nationals.
Jack Dunn - 2021 Midfielder at Woodward Academy in Atlanta (Thunder LB3/3D Georgia) committed to play D1 lacrosse at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (MA) in the Colonial Athletic Association. Dunn is a "throwback" middie who can do it all.
Gunnar Fagerstrom - 2021 Attackman/Midfielder at Cherokee High School in Canton (Skunk Bears Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse at Young Harris College (GA) in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Gunnar is a fierce competitor with a strong lax IQ.
Nick Kava - 2021 Midfielder/Attackman at Mill Creek High School in Hoschton (Blackhawks Lacrosse Club GA) committed to play NAIA lacrosse at the University of the Cumberlands (KY) in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Kava is a fast, explosive and physical athlete. He is also a Wide Receiver and Defensive Back for Mill Creek on the varsity football team.
Randy Lattimore - 2021 Defenseman/LSM at Effingham County High School in Springfield committed to play NAIA lacrosse at St. Andrews University (NC) in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Lattimore is hard working, intuitive and articulate.
Brayden O'Neill - 2021 Midfielder at Etowah High School in Woodstock (Thunder LB3/Team Carolina Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (AL) in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. O'Neill has also played varsity football at Etowah.
Tiernan Pepple - 2021 Midfielder at West Forsyth High School in Cumming (Georgia Thunder National) committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at Limestone University (SC). Pepple is a 4 year starter in lacrosse at West Forsyth and also played varsity football for them as well.
T.J. Scott - 2021 Midfielder at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell/formerly at Kell High School in Marietta (Thunder LB3/Crossfire Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at Limestone University (SC) (this commitment happened in September). T.J. also played varsity football at both Blessed Trinity and Kell.
Tristan Stephenson - 2021 Midfielder at North Paulding High School in Dallas (3D Georgia) committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at North Greenville University (SC). Tristan possesses the speed and athleticism to take the ball from end to end, finding the open man in unsettled situations or taking it to the goal himself. He can also be a threat from the perimeter in a more settled offensive set.
Zachary Stopher - 2021 LSM at Allatoona High School in Acworth (Crossfire Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse at Wingate University (NC) in the South Atlantic Conference. Zachary was born with lax in his blood as his father, Mark, was a 2-time All-American and 2-time NCAA National Champion at Syracuse where he played close defense.
Brandon Williams - 2021 Goalie, Defenseman and Midfielder at Campbell High School in Smyrna (FCA Rochester) committed to play D1 lacrosse at the Virginia Military Institute (VA) in the Southern Conference. Williams is looking forward to playing high level lacrosse at a place that can serve as a stepping stone into the military.

Logan LeBlanc - 2021 Defenseman at Episcopal School in Baton Rouge (FTK For The Kids/Atlanta Kings) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Southwestern University (TX) in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. LeBlanc is considered a leader who pushes himself and his teammates to be better on and off the field everyday.
Gabriel Barker - 2021 Attackman and Midfielder at West Stokes High School in King (Triad Blackhawks Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse at Catawba College (NC) in the South Atlantic Conference. Barker's favorite sport is lacrosse but he also plays varsity football and basketball at West Stokes. On the lacrosse field Gabriel is an offensive machine, in 28 games over 2 varsity seasons the 6 foot 5 inch senior has scored 43 goals, and added 18 assists for 61 points. He was also ranked #1 in the 2021 class at the Southern Virginia Showcase this past September.
Seth Barnes - 2021 Defenseman/LSM at Northwest Cabarrus High School in Concord (Team Carolina Lacrosse) committed to play D1 lacrosse at Colgate University (NY) in the Patriot League. Barnes is the definition of hard work paying off when you stick to the process and was selected to the Under Armour All-American South team in 2020. He tends to play more close D then LSM simply because he just can't be beat even when going up against some of the best competition in the country.
Ethan Bormann - 2021 Attackman and Midfielder at East Forsyth High School (NC Fusion) committed to play DII lacrosse at Anderson University (SC) in the South Atlantic Conference. Bormann is a dominant lefty that is equally comfortable with both hands and loves to create turnovers on the ride.
Christian Daniels - 2021 Defenseman at Middle Creek High School in Apex (Team 91 Carolina) committed to play DII lacrosse at Newberry College (SC) in the South Atlantic Conference. Daniels is a solid close defender and LSM with quick feet and good hands who has often been looked upon to take the ball across midline and generate scoring opportunities.
Charlie Enloe - 2021 Attackman at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh (True North Carolina formerly Bucktown Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at Belmont Abbey College (NC). Charlie is a tough, hard nosed and fearless competitor, who is known for his flying crease dives while competing in Bucktown's box program.
Logan Laton - 2021 Attackman at Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines committed to play DIII lacrosse at William Peace University (NC) in the USA South Athletic Conference. Logan also plays Middle Linebacker and Defensive Tackle for Pinecrest's varsity football team.
Nathan Nicholas - 2022 Midfielder at Apex High School in Apex (Team 91 Carolina) committed to play D1 lacrosse at High Point University (NC) in the Southern Conference. High Point lands a versatile 2 way middie who is impressive on face-offs and strong in transition. Nicholas is a serious offensive threat who can bury it from the perimeter, but also likes to get underneath and attack the cage to finish from in close.
Tyler Nichols - 2021 Attackman at Lake Norman High School in Mooresville (Running Rebels Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse at Catawba College (NC) in the South Atlantic Conference. Nichols was a standout at the Southern Virginia Showcase and Southeast Showcase, and also earned an all-star selection at the Maverik D2 Showcase.
Ryan Scanlon - 2021 Midfielder at William A. Hough High School in Cornelius (Team Carolina Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at SUNY Cortland (NY) in the State University of New York Athletic Conference. "Rhino" is a great teammate whose We before Me mentality is evident every time he steps on the field.
Parker Shoun - 2021 Defenseman at Millbrook High School in Raleigh (Carolina Hilltoppers Lacrosse) committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at Barton College (NC). Shoun also plays Middle Linebacker for the varsity football team at Millbrook.
Ky Sutherland - 2021 LSM/Defensive Midfielder at Charlotte Christian High School in Charlotte committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at Lees-McRae College (NC). Sutherland also plays varsity football but spent freshman football season on JV in 2017 while varsity would win the State Championship without him. He became determined to make varsity and he did just that the next 3 seasons playing Nose-Guard and winning 3 State Championships; making it 4 straight titles for the Knights.
Zack Tucker - 2021 Goaltender at Athens Drive Magnet High School in Raleigh (Team 91 Carolina/Carolina National Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Virginia Wesleyan University (VA) in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Tucker does a great job commanding the field and is strong on the clear with sharp passes and good decision making.
Kaleb Boiter - 2021 Goaltender at J.L. Mann High School in Greenville committed to play DII lacrosse at Lander University (SC) in the Peach Belt Conference. Boiter is a disciplined leader who takes pride in commanding his defense from in front of the cage.
Chase Dabado - 2021 Attack and Midfielder at Lexington High School in Lexington committed to play DIII lacrosse at Pfeiffer University (NC) in the USA South Athletic Conference (this commitment happened in October).
Brandon Head - 2021 Goaltender at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia/formerly at Bishop England High School in Charleston (Break Thru Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Berry College in the Southern Athletic Association. Head switched to Goaltender in his freshman season which subsequently led to his pursuit to play at the collegiate level.
Andrew Hollifield - 2021 Goaltender at Boiling Springs High School in Spartanburg (Spartanburg Sting) committed to play DII lacrosse in Conference Carolinas at North Greenville University (SC).
Mason Kenworthy - 2021 LSM at Fort Mill High School in Fort Mill committed to play DII lacrosse at Coker University in the South Atlantic Conference (SC).
Quinn Fitzsimmons - 2021 LSM/Defenseman at McCallie High School in Chattanooga/formerly at North Atlanta High School in Atlanta, GA (Thunder LB3) committed to play D1 lacrosse at Colgate University (NY) in the Patriot League. Fitzsimmons played varsity lacrosse, football and basketball at North Atlanta. He is an elite pole with size, athleticism and discipline who has started at Defense, LSM, and Attack; in fact he set the state record for assists and points per game as an Attackman earlier in his career.
Brenden Friers - 2021 Midfielder at Arlington High School in Arlington (No Excuse Lacrosse) committed to play DIII lacrosse at Southwestern University (TX) in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Friers has played in the 901 Box Lacrosse League in Memphis sanctioned by USBOXLA.
Eli Grizzard - 2022 FO/Midfielder at Collierville High School in Collierville (No Excuse Lacrosse) committed to play D1 lacrosse at Jacksonville University (FL) in the Southern Conference. Grizzard is a throwback, a tough face-off middie, who identifies with the program and culture at Jacksonville, and looks forward to helping them do big things in the years to come.
Grant King - 2021 LSM at Farragut High School in Knoxville committed to play DII lacrosse at Lander University (SC) in the Peach Belt Conference (this commitment happened in September). King has been a starter at Farragut since his freshman season.
Jackson Peters - 2021 Defenseman at Cookeville High School in Cookeville (Cookeville Cavaliers Lacrosse) committed to play NAIA lacrosse at Keiser University (FL) in the Sun Conference.
