King's Academy '20 Chris Erneston IV commits to Limestone

Senior Captain at The King's Academy Chris Erneston has committed to play lacrosse and continue his education at Limestone University in Gaffney, SC. The lefty dominant attackman joins a program that has recently returned to past glory, playing in 6 of the last 8 DII National Championship games, winning titles 3 times during that span in 2014, 2015 and 2017. Like so many other 2020 seniors Chris ends his high school career on a sour note as COVID19 robbed his varsity team of the chance to make a run for the State Championship. Erneston has been playing lacrosse with "his boys" since he was 8 years old and has helped The King's Academy rise into one of the stronger programs in Florida over the past couple of seasons. In 2020 TKA were expected to battle with the best teams in the state and were proving themselves with wins over Benjamin and Oxbridge. They ended up with an 8-1 record and had a real good chance to make the state final four in the 1A class this year. Although TKA will lose a talented class of seniors, the boys still have plenty of rising underclassmen who will be expected to compete for a spot in states in 2021. Meanwhile, Chris Erneston will be busy at Limestone competing for a Memorial Day trip to Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT, which will be the site of the 2021 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships hosted by Fairfield University.
