September was huge for the Florida Select 2022's as 8 of their recruits have verbally committed to NCAA D1 programs after the communication period opened up again on the 1st day of the month. Florida Select is impressing the nation more and more each year, and this new group of commits should see plenty of opportunities to excel at the next level. The 2022's who have verbally committed in September are as follows:
Joy Coffey - is considered the backbone of the 2022's, a tremendous keeper between the pipes and very active outside of the goal. The goaltender at Vero Beach High School verbally committed to play lacrosse at High Point University (NC) in the Big South Conference.
Carli Fleisher - is a strong feeder and finisher who was an original Madskillz player from the beginning. The attacker at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland committed to play lacrosse at Northwestern University (IL) in the Big Ten Conference.
Calli Norris - is tall, strong and speedy which allows her to powerfully attack the cage from attack or midfield and she can even help out on the defensive side too. The Vero Beach High School junior has committed to play D1 lacrosse at the University of Michigan (MI) in the Big Ten Conference.
Lauren Render - is a recent addition to the Florida Select 2022 team. She has been playing lacrosse since she was 8 years old and is strong, fast and fearless. The midfielder out of Hillsgrove High School in Powder Springs, GA has committed to play lacrosse at Virginia Tech (VA) in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Casey Roberts - is fast and tenacious, one of the team leaders who has been with the program since it's inception. The midfielder at American Heritage School in Delray Beach fulfilled her lifelong dream when she committed to play lacrosse at The Ohio State University (OH) in the Big Ten Conference.
Lily Valentini - is a passionate, big and strong player possessing a fast and accurate shot. The attacker from The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens has committed to protect and serve our country in the United States Military Academy, where she will play D1 lacrosse for Army West Point in the Patriot League.
Rachel Weiner - is a quick, competitive and gritty player who distributes the ball well while going hard to the cage when it's her turn. The attacker at North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek will be joining teammate Carli Fleisher to play for legendary coach Kelly Amonte Hiller at powerhouse Northwestern University in the Big Ten.
Ava Yovino - is a quick, composed player with a very powerful shot whose topside dodges are extraordinary. The midfielder from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale has committed to protect and serve our country in the United States Naval Academy, where she will play D1 lacrosse for Navy in the Patriot League.
John McClain has done a tremendous job with the Florida Select program as it continues to place it's girls into the finest educational institutions in the country. The 2022 team is grateful for the support they receive from their amazing coaching staff including Jon Weiner, Scott Wainman and Coach Bianca.
