Cardinal Mooney's Michael Bavaro returns home to Florida

coyotemagic

Michael Bavaro has finally returned home to Florida after spending nearly 3 months at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA. Bavaro, a 2020 senior attackman at Cardinal Mooney, suffered a serious spinal injury in a boating accident on March 19 and has since received an overwhelming outpouring of support from the lacrosse community. In late May, Casey Powell and Liam Banks, along with their families, visited Mikey right before a vehicle parade was held for him to show support during the COVID19 pandemic. A video message was even received from Sweden, as New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist sent along his best wishes, which must have been a real thrill to the blue shirts fan. Now he will begin to work with doctors and therapists back home in Sarasota at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital. Our thoughts and prayers will continue as Mikey moves forward with his rehabilitation.
