Welcome to DSLR's NCAA monthly Commitment Roundup for August powered by USA Lax Commits where we are pleased to report a total of 71 high school boys from the Deep South have committed to play college lacrosse. This month's report includes 8 new recruits who will be joining NCAA D1 programs and 1 player who switched D1 commitments. Please note, our area of coverage in the Deep South consists of the 9 states east/northeast of Texas (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN).
North Carolina had a huge month leading the way with an astonishing 27 new commits. They were followed by Florida with 15, Georgia with 12, South Carolina with 5, and Alabama, Louisiana and Tennessee with 4 each. Florida and North Carolina placed three D1 recruits each in August, while Georgia and Tennessee are home to the final two. There were no 2023 commits in August.
