Welcome to the NCAA monthly Commitment Roundup powered by Project X Lacrosse where we are pleased to report that in the month of April a total of 52 high school boys from the Deep South have committed to play college lacrosse. This month's report includes 3 new recruits who will be joining NCAA D1 programs and 5 commits who come from the 2022 class. Please note, our area of coverage in the Deep South consists of the 9 states east/northeast of Texas (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN).
Florida led all states with an astounding 23 new commits, followed by Georgia with 10, North Carolina with 9, Tennessee with 5, Alabama and Arkansas with 2 each, and South Carolina with 1. Florida placed four '22 commits while North Carolina is home to the other. Florida reports 2 recruits going D1 while the other D1 commit last played in Tennessee. Noah Phillips - 2021 Midfielder at Bentonville High School in Bentonville committed to play DIII lacrosse at Hendrix College (AR) in the Southern Athletic Association (this commitment happened in February).
Jackson Bashaw - 2022 Attackman at Jupiter High School in Jupiter (Sweetlax Florida/WLTW) committed to play DII lacrosse at the University of Tampa (FL) in the Sunshine State Conference.
